Creation Revelation

June 9, 2008 · 6 Comments

(I posted this last week on my Stewardship Living blog. I wanted to share it with you here as well.)

My 2.5-year-old daughter absolutely loves this song, even though it’s just a commercial. Every time she hears it, she sings and dances along. Even if she’s in another room playing with toys, if she hears the beginning notes she comes tearing into our living room to watch it.

All around us, creation reveals the creator. Do you carry the same enthusiasm and love for creation as the song indicates? Do you marvel at the ocean, clear blue skies, arachnids, hot magma, and giant squids? Do you consider his creation to be a work of art, a creative expression of who he is? Slow down today and observe your surroundings. What can you learn about your creator from his creation?

Indescribable, by Chris Tomlin

From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation’s revealing Your majesty
From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring
Every creature unique in the song that it sings
All exclaiming

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God

Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go
Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow
Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light
Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night
None can fathom

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
All powerful, untamable,
Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim
You are amazing God
Indescribable, uncontainable,
You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name.
You are amazing God
Incomparable, unchangeable
You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same
You are amazing God
You are amazing God

I love this one too! During our first spring in NC, when I literally experienced a true srping (meaning that we went from dead trees and grasses to everything coming back to life) “from the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring” would have me weeping in gratitude. Every. single. time.

    God is good!

How I have I never seen this commercial? We watch the Discovery Channel all the time!! Love the song — both of them, actually, but especially the Chris Tomlin one. It says so much and yet still never enough.

K – He is good! All the time!

T – It used to be on constantly. I haven’t seen it in the last few weeks, but they do have it on their website.

I love it love it love it! Yup, I was dancing with your daughter.
The Dallas Symphony is having a Blue Planet concert coming up–the only time my husband asked me if we can go to the symphony.

H – Awesome. Be sure to blog all about it . . . although how can words really express what you will experience?
