I haven’t participated in Sky Watch Friday in a while, but since I snapped some pictures of the storm last night, I thought it provided an opportune time.
This is the view from our backyard as the lightning moved away from us. The sky was completely dark (this was well after midnight), until the flashes of light backlit the clouds.

I love to watch lightning and I saw plenty when I lived in Texas, but never got a picture of it. These are great.

Completely awesome. (Hoping you weren’t out in the middle of the yard capturing this ; – )

G – Thanks! They were fun to capture.

S – Thanks! I’m glad to be back. Hopefully I’ll have more to share . . .
E – Thanks to you, too! That one is for sure my favorite.
JK – Fortunately, by then the storm was fairly far away.
J – Glad I could bring back some Texas memories for you!
C – If you stand there and click long enough, you can get it . . .
LL – I did think about standing in the yard to get closer, but this was from the safety of my patio.
B – I took a LOT of pics that night, so I’m not sure if it was timing or just luck.
hanks for stopping by!
