Quote of the Day

I left last Thursday for a little girls’ trip out to San Francisco. On Friday afternoon I received the following text from my husband:

“I don’t know how you get anything done.”

One of the biggest compliments I’ve ever received! 🙂

  1. Don’t you just love it when they get a real glimpse into your world?

With my husband home, he just looks at me and asks, “How did you DO this with two of them?”

Did you have an amazing time away? SF with girlfriends sounds like a little bit of heaven. 🙂

LM – Absolutely. And it was an amazing time with girlfriends. More to come on that soon.

    LL – 🙂

  3. I wondered where you had gone to? You had been so silent as of late!

    And the text?

So funny, and totally what you hope to hear when you’ve been gone for a short time, isn’t it?

  4. Yeah, no kidding. My wife and I have taken turns taking care of house and kids. HANDS DOWN the hardest job ever. It’s so emotionally draining and isolating.

God love all mothers and fathers who take this calling seriously.

K – I know my husband appreciates me, but it’s always nice to hear that he truly understands.

RLP – I think seeing it as a calling is the ONLY way to make it through sometimes.

  6. I am leaving next week on an 8 day trip…my husband will be home with our son…I wonder if I’ll get a text like that from him!

  7. My husband has made comments like this in the past. It’s so reassuring! I often berate myself for not doing MORE, but he consistently reminds me how full my hands are. Glad to know your man appreciates you! 🙂
