It has begun . . .

I’m finally stepping into the current culture around me.

I discovered tonight that the full episodes from the first four seasons are online. I’ve already watched two this evening, and will probably watch a couple more before I go to bed.

I’m hopelessly . . .

  1. Tina,

I tried to send you an email, but I think your email has changed. I wonder if you would write and give me your new one.

here is the content of that email:

    Tina,

I want you to know how much I appreciated your post some days back on being fully present. I think you have a remarkably innocent way of writing about your own weakness and growth. It’s incredibly endearing and draws readers in, I think. I featured that piece today at High Calling Blogs.

As always, I enjoy your blog and your work.

  2. Welcome to the dark side! We have punch and cookies!

It’s a good show, it’ll draw you in. Without giving anything away, I can say that most of the stuff you’ll have questions about will be explained, eventually. Maybe.

  3. Unrelated to Lost: I’ve been meaning to ask, the geometric patterns in the squares over on the right: how’d you do that? Are they random? It appears that I always get the same light blue colored one. They’re kinda cool looking.

LM – Yes, I teased you not that long ago, and here I am catching up on FOUR seasons. I guess the benefit is that I don’t have to wait to find out what’s going on from week to week.

RLP – Wow. I’m overwhelmed with your comment. Thanks, and I’m glad that something I write encourages you.

M – Punch and cookies, too? Man, why didn’t I come sooner? And regarding the patterns – I’m not really sure how those happen. They just appeared one day for those who don’t already have an avatar.

  5. Why start now? If you wait just two more years you can have the whole series available to you without waiting for a single episode! 🙂 Unfortunately, we were sucked in from the very first episode. Waiting 6-9 months between seasons is agony.

TD – Is it seriously going to end in two years?

C – I felt the same way. But there are just too many conversations going on around me about it. I’m surrounded by fanatics!

G – Admittedly, I am enjoying it a lot. And I’ll be happy to finally understand what in the world all the hoopla is about.

  7. It’s either two or three more years. The writers/producers have announced a definitive end to the series (I just can’t remember for sure what it is). Rather, a definitive end to FILMING the series. All fans know they’ll never tie everything up with a neat little bow. We’ll be left with some mysteries even after they end the show.

Oh, I know what you’re talking about! I started watching in February and quickly zipped through them! now I’m the biggest fan. Can’t believe we have to wait until 2009 for more. 😉

I’m so sorry. My family pulled me kicking and screaming into the LOST world, but, like them, I am now hopelessly–and maddeningly–hooked.

T – After I read your comment, I looked it up. The show ENDS in 2010. Crazy.

A – Yup. The nice thing about catching up on four seasons is that there is no waiting! For now, at least . . .

    D – It’s quite addictive, isn’t it? 🙂
