Yesterday our pastor taught on Romans 8:12-17. This quote lingers with me this morning: “The reality is, Christians sin.”
As Christ-followers, we often get caught up in “what a Christian would say or not say” and “what a Christian would do.” People who take that to an extreme might even doubt your salvation if you didn’t act and speak as a Christian “should.”
But the reality is Christians DO sin.
You can’t judge your “Christian-ness” on works. We all need grace – the same amount of grace. No one needs more or less than someone else. Our focus should not be on making ourselves look as a Christian ought to look, but making the moment by moment decision to live according to the Spirit, in relationship with the Father, and in view of the Son.
Okay, your turn. What’s lingering with you this morning?
