Extreme Makeover – Day 7

Sorry! I promised these pictures on Monday night, but I was so exhausted I could hardly even text message anyone back. Here are a few pictures from Day 7 (Sunday).

The family moved from their home because of flooding. To help prevent the problem, Wall Homes dug a huge culvert in front of the house and under the driveway. You can see the workers filling in with dirt here.

Here’s one of the workers inside, putting some final touches on a bookcase. I wish I could show you pictures of the inside, but they wouldn’t allow us to take any. The inside of the house is a huge secret until the show airs. But I can assure you, it is AMAZING.

This was part of the back porch area. I wasn’t exactly sure how they were going to fill it in, but I loved what they ended up doing.

One glitch in the project was the brick. As you probably know, brick laying can be tricky if you don’t know how to properly do it. But at this time of year, experienced brick layers in this area are in high demand. These guys are cleaning out some of the broken brick and other construction remnants.

A group of students came over from Rockwall (Mary, did Julia come?). This photo is of Steve Wall, Founder and CEO of Wall Homes, talking with them.

Check out more pictures at the Wall Homes website. The final, C-O-L-D wrap up to come soon.
